Valid point, but at the end of the day, they are all competing for the same users' (teens up to 34 yr old mainly) attention and then hoping they will convert to a creator. Both TikTok and YouTube's business models are based on large scale of users choosing to create content on the platforms which they then monetise for revenue. So whoever builds the most efficient user-to-creator funnel wins. Because of this, any video platform that potentially takes viewership or creation away from YouTube is competition to YouTube, whether or not that other platform intends to be YouTube.
