Absolutely agree with your assessment. I am also an Inbox Zero person so I didn’t like that I can’t archive things in Hey. They’re always there visible which I find distracting. I also found the screening too much work for the benefit.

I ended up with Tempo as my email app which connects to Gmail but has a very clean and simple interface. You should give them a go. I recently wrote about it here if you’d like to read.
